Margot Robbie offered sex scene advice after on-set mishap |
Margot Robbie's advice followed an injury that left the cast and crew shocked.
Today, July 2, 2023, marks the 33rd birthday of Barbie star Margot Robbie.
The Australian actress has become an incredible staple within Hollywood, having been nominated for an Oscar and garnered some fantastic roles over the years.
She really broke into the mainstream ten years ago, however, back in 2013's The Wolf of Wall Street.
The Martin Scorsese movie placed Robbie opposite Leonardo DiCaprio as the wife of Jordan Belfort, Naomi Lapaglia.
Robbie bared all during the film, though, showing off her assets in many raunchy sex scenes throughout the picture. After that, she spoke candidly about bringing these scenes to life - and how it didn't always go to plan.

Robbie explained that one scene, in particular, left her extremely injured.
This happened during a sex scene that took place on a bed made of fake money.
According to the Daily Beast, she said: "I got a million paper cuts on my back from all that money! It's not as glamorous as it sounds.
"Maybe real money is a bit softer, but the fake money is like paper, and when I got up off the bed, I turned around to get my robe and everyone gasped."
Robbie, who was just 23 years old at the time, saw the cast and crew's horrified reaction and asked: "What is it?!"
They replied: "You look like you've been whipped a million times. Your back is covered in a thousand red scratches."
She finally gave some advice to anyone who might carry out a similar act: "If anyone is ever planning on having sex on top of a pile of cash: don't."
Despite her injuries, Robbie loved playing Naomi in The Wolf of Wall Street. She explained how important her nudity was for the story.
Margot Robbie explained what it meant for her character to be naked |
The actor said: "I think nudity for the sake of nudity is shameful. If they've put it in just so that a girl gets her top off, then that's disgusting. And you can always tell. But I also think it's disgusting when someone would have got naked in real life, in the film they conveniently leave their bra on or hold up the bed sheet."
"The whole point of Naomi is that her body is her only form of currency in this world," she went on. "So when Marty was trying to help me out, and said in the scene where she seduces Jordan, perhaps I could have a robe on, I said she wouldn't."
Margot said Naomi "needed" to be naked. "She's laying her cards on the table," she explained.
